Missio
Missio is supported by the parish of Our Lady and St Anne, and more detail will be included on this page in the near future. Follow this link for the Missio website.
Missio describes itself as the Pope’s official charity for overseas. It states:
“We share the hope of the Gospel where there is turmoil, poverty and uncertainty in the world, and where the Church is new, young or poor. Missio empowers local people to form and sustain communities of faith and trains future leaders so that the vital work of the Church in the world can take place.”
Missio was known as the Association for the Propagation of the Faith (APF), and continues to use the red APF collecting boxes that have been a feature of Catholic homes for very many years.
